The Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club (BVARC) is the largest, most active ham radio club in the southeast Texas area. It was originally organized in 1978, primarily as an emergency communications group available to assist the communities of Stafford and Missouri City when required. Since that time BVARC has grown and expanded its activities to bring together many diverse interests all over Texas. Today, BVARC is truly a general interest club with an impressive record of public service. This commitment to service has been recognized by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) with the coveted status of Special Service Club. Membership is not limited to licensed operators, but is open to anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio. BVARC operates under the club callsign of KK5W and has many functions throughout the year. The club also sponsors the Greater Houston HamFest (GHHF) each year on the first weekend of March. BVARC and GHHF staff are proud to have The SignMan of Baton Rouge as one of our original vendors for twenty years. The BVARC name badge is made using our full color process and has a white background with the logo in color with your call sign in red, your name in blue. The badge measures approximately 2" x 3.25" and is $13.50 which includes the standard safety pin fastener. Other fastener options are available, including the popular Magnetic Bar, please see below.
